In Human Design, the entire population is divided into four main Types (and one sub-type). Your Type determines your aura mechanics—how you interact with the world and how the world interacts with you. Living according to your Type is the key to removing friction from your life.
1. Generators (The Builders)
Aura: Open and Enveloping.
Strategy: To Respond.
Generators are the life-force of the planet. When they do what they love, they generate energy. Their frustration comes from initiating instead of responding to life's cues.
2. Manifesting Generators (The Express Builders)
A subset of Generators, MGs move fast. They are designed to multitask and find the fastest route to completion. Their challenge is patience and informing others before they act.
3. Projectors (The Guides)
Aura: Focused and Absorbing.
Strategy: Wait for the Invitation.
Projectors are here to guide the energy of others. They are the administrators and leaders of the new age. Their bitterness comes from offering uninvited advice.
4. Manifestors (The Initiators)
Aura: Closed and Repelling.
Strategy: To Inform.
Manifestors are the only type designed to initiate action independently. Their anger arises when they are controlled or interrupted.
5. Reflectors (The Mirrors)
Aura: Sampling and Resistant.
Strategy: Wait a Lunar Cycle.
Reflectors are the barometers of their environment. With no fixed centers, they reflect the health of the community around them.
